Pediatric Intensive Care

Pediatric Intensive care is a branch of Pediatrics which deals with the highest level of medical & nursing care for severely diseased children, aged over 28 days of life to 18 years of life. PICU is Pediatric counterpart of the adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU). It is multi-disciplinary in its composition. All sub-specialties render their contribution towards the best desirable outcome, in a given scenario. The nurses are highly trained and experienced in managing such children. The protocols employ strict infection control practices and patient safety procedures. The unit is manned with technically competent and qualified doctors & nurses round the clock.
