Pediatric Gastroenterology is a subspecialty of Medicine applied to the pediatric age group. It involves the addressing of the food pipe, stomach, intestinal tract, liver-pancreas, and related problems of new-born, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.

Pediatric Gastroenterologist is a super-specialist in the field. One is required to pursue a Doctorate (DM) in Pediatric Gastroenterology for a duration of at least 3 years, after qualifying with Masters in Medicine (MD) before branching out to this sub-specialty.
