Being a very senior specialist, Dr Prabhavathi served as the Co- Chairperson for the Standing
Committee for co ordinating 3 academic wings of IMA HQS – AMS , CGP, AKNSI. She has
recognition in several other aspects related to Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India. Her vast
medical experience lies in handling consultancy as a Laparoscopic surgeon in Andhra
Pradesh and across other Indian states. She has been instrumental in conducting workshops
related to Oral Contraceptives and safe abortion techniques. As a senior academician she
helmed PG classes Obstetrics and Gynaecology societyof Hyderabad (OGSH). Dr
Prabhavathi’s expertise in Endoscopy is a result of several courses conducted by her
personally. She is also the national chairman of IMA for early detection and prevention of
Cancer cervix initiative.
